BROUHAHA / WOOLLY MAMMOTH / CALIBRE APRICOT SOUR ● 4.2% ABV ● Draft Apricot Kettle SourBrewed for Brewsvegas 2018 with Calibre and Woolly Mammoth this beer is the feature at the Calibre Block Party. This is exactly what it promises to be. Full of apricot and refreshingly sour. It pours thick and hazy and has an almost prosperous orange glow. Over 200kg of Apricot Puree was added (in 1500L of beer) and it shows! A huge apricot nose draws you in and then a delicious sweetness in the mid palette blends through to a sharp, tart finish from the lactobacillus. This is incredibly refreshing and sessional on a warm summer’s day. Enjoy it while it lasts because I don’t think there are enough apricots in the world to make this again….

CAVALIER / CALIBRE CALIBRATOR ● 7.9% ABV ● Draft/330ml Bottles DoppelbockDuring Good Beer week in May 2015 we visited Cavalier and brewed our first ever collaboration beer. The Calibrator is a 7.9%, version of one of our favourite styles, the traditional Bavarian Doppelbock. Doppelbock (literally meaning "double bock") is a stronger and usually darker version of a Bockbier. It is exceptionally malty, with very little bitterness. The style emerged in the late eighteenth century as a variant of the old monastic strong beer, the monks "liquid bread," which they traditionally brewed for the Lenten season. Doppelbock often have "-ator" added to their beer's name as a signpost of the style. A strong and rich lager. A bigger version of a traditional bock. Strong malt aroma with a light noble hop presence. Deep gold in colour with a large, creamy, persistent head. Rich and malty with toasty notes. Clean and crisp with a dry finish. Smooth, warming and well balanced.

Doppelbock

During Good Beer week in May 2015 we visited Cavalier and brewed our first ever collaboration beer. The Calibrator is a 7.9%, version of one of our favourite styles, the traditional Bavarian Doppelbock. Strawberry and Rhubarb Kettle Sour

Originally brewed for Brewsvegas 2017. Strawberry Rhubarb Sour is a kettle sour beer made using Maleny Dairies natural yoghurt as the souring culture.

Then stewed rhubarb and strawberries were added into the fermenter during secondary fermentation.

The resulting beer is light pink in colour and has strawberries on the nose but the taste is anything but sweet.

Strong berry flavours develop into sour rhubarb and finish nice and dry.

SLIPSTREAM / WELCOME HOTEL / FITZ&POTTS / CALIBRE XXXPL ● 5.3% ABV ● Draft Xtra Pale Lager Collaboration with Calibre Craft Beer, Fitz & Potts and The Welcome Hotel. Assertively hopped with US tropical and citrus varieties. Fermented with Lager yeast to change up our XPA, making it an XPL.

Blood Orange and Passionfruit Kettle Sour

'Mongrel, Calibre Craft Beer Trading Co. and Brouhaha Brewery have brewed a special collaboration beer to raise money for a good cause.

Bars around Brisbane will be selling the beer on tap as karma kegs from March 31st to April 7th (2019), with all proceeds going to Asylum Circle.

Asylum Circle (an arm of Communify Queensland) brings help and support to Queensland based asylum seekers. They work with volunteer groups and donors to provide shelter, food and community connections to seekers of asylum.

Sunburnt Country is a blood orange and passionfruit sour that, like this great country, tastes best shared. You can find it on tap from March 31st to April 7th (2019) at these awesome QLD venues:
